Starting out as a stained glass artist I had tiny bits of glass so beautiful I couldn't throw them out. So I began making jewelry out of them. In stained glass processing I use copper so I fashion my jewelry from copper as well. The wire and metal are hand cut. Then I either solder stained glass to the metal or torch fire enamels (which are glass powders) to adhere them to the it. The stained glass is soldered to the copper with non-leaded solder.
Mixed media frees me up creatively in a way no other medium does. It's all about layering pieces and parts. I use india inks, acrylic paints, wire, paper, pencils and pens.
